Lynn Moore

“A bird does not sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.”

A kindly, soft-spoken woman in her mid fifties who's more often than not accompanied by some sort of small bird. Shelinda Moore-Drake has seen more tragedy than any woman should, and the scars of it are clear on her face, literally and figuratively. Her face is scratched up and she is missing an eye, but still makes the effort to smile in the face of adversity.

About

Personality:

Lynn is a quiet woman but instantly welcoming if approached. She exudes a warm and matronly aura and will care for any in her presence on instinct. She can usually be seen wearing a soft smile, but every so often you'll be able to see a peek of the deep sadness behind her eyes. Though she lives a content and calm life now, she spent over twenty years in a state of hopelessness, and even though things are looking up now, depression still haunts her.
Her favorite flower is the lily and she holds a deep affection for birds, because their songs helped her through a very tough time in her life.

Appearance:

Lynn is a very small woman, standing at 4'11". She looks as if the forest itself had birthed a woman. She has wavy brown hair that is going grey and is almost always seen wearing green. Her most distinctive physical features, unfortunately, happen to be the scars on her face. She was attacked in her youth and took a blade to the face, which resulted in the loss of her right eye. She wears and eyepatch most of the time to cover it, but every so often will will a glass eye when she decides to forego the eyepatch.

Hooks

Lynn is a fairly private person but she can be found in the following scenarios.

  • Tea Time - She works part time as a server at the Shroudrose Teahouse.

  • Grocery Shopping - She has volunteered to bake fresh treats for her daughter's shop every day, and as such she often takes trips to the market to replenish her supplies.

  • Gridanian Heritage - Though she is no longer welcome in the city by decree of the elementals she was born and raised in Gridania. The story of Shelinda Drake is a somewhat known sad story to those who were in the city about 20 years back.

  • Birding - One of the few things to get her out of the house for her own pleasure is a birding expedition. She adores birds and will gladly take a trip to admire a rare one.

  • Drake Aesthetics - She is very involved in her daughter's life and will make trips to her shop from time to time.

I am a 21+ RPer on CST time, I have fairly open availability but do prefer to schedule my RP ahead of time. Lynn is not one of my primary RP characters but I would love for her to get out more.
